The Fund works on global, national, and workplace levels to foster safer work environments, particularly in the world’s least developed countries. The strategic framework 2024–2028 is built around three complementary pillars, four cross-cutting approaches, and nine action areas.

Strategic Framework 2024–2028
The Fund’s strategy is grounded in three interconnected pillars:
- Global and national commitment: Enhance coordination and commitment among stakeholders like policymakers and academics to improve OSH standards.
- Legal and policy frameworks: Strengthen OSH laws and policies in target countries, enhance data collection, and support worker compensation mechanisms.
- Workplace improvements: Reduce OSH hazards by piloting innovative OSH improvement models and fostering employer-worker cooperation.
